DesiQuest Season 1

Voodoo Val

DesiQuest is a groundbreaking actual-play Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) series that debuted in November 2023. It features an all-South Asian cast and is set in a fantasy world inspired by South Asian mythology and culture. The show was created and game-mastered by Jasmine Bhullar, known for her work in the TTRPG community, and produced by EffinFunny, a company co-founded by Sandeep Parikh that focuses on diverse storytelling in media.

This was not my first adventure in the realm of D&D actual plays but it was the first time I'd ever been tasked with creating the show graphics and design as well. While frightening at first, I discovered a true passion in molding the assets into a solid look. Although the graphics side of things required I dust off my design skills, I found that incorporating illustration made the whole experience so rewarding! I ended up with this massive showcase of portrait illustrations for the cast and NPC's, plus a collection of UI assets that I am truly proud of!
